Grief and Outrage Unite Arizonans

ICE Out of Arizona

On Jan. 7, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer Jonathan Ross fatally shot Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis. Three days later, demonstrators gathered across the country, including at the Cole Park pedestrian bridge in Tempe, Arizona, to protest the shooting and federal immigration enforcement policies.

President Donald Trump and Department of Homeland Security officials defended ICE's actions and criticized the demonstrations. Immigrant rights advocates and some members of Congress condemned the statements.
