ICE Out of Arizona
Grief and Outrage Unite Arizonans
On Jan. 7, 2026, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer Jonathan Ross fatally shot Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis. On Jan. 10, demonstrators gathered at the Cole Park pedestrian bridge in Tempe, Arizona, to protest the shooting and the government’s immigration enforcement policies.
In the days following the killing, President Donald Trump and the Department of Homeland Security publicly defended ICE and criticized the protests, drawing condemnation from immigrant rights advocates and some members of Congress.
