Election Day in Arizona
Voter Portraits and Quiet Observations on America’s Decision Day
This week, I interviewed and photographed dozens of Arizona voters for POLITICO on Election Day. Arizona is growing fast and becoming more diverse, which is turning our state into a complex, sometimes puzzling political mosaic.
Three issues kept surfacing in my conversations with voters: affordability, abortion, and immigration. Nearly everyone I spoke with shared the same feeling—that the country isn’t doing well and something needs to change right now.
